TBE Architects is a Native American-founded architecture and interior design firm. Our team of professional designers specialize in creating immersive experiences for casino and resort properties throughout North America. Since 1971, TBE Architects has set the standard in hospitality and gaming design across North America. With over 350 casino and 400 hotel projects completed, our work leads the industry—shaping what’s next rather than echoing what’s already been done. Clients and peers turn to TBE for visionary design, strategic insight, and spaces that captivate, perform, and endure. Our legacy is built on leadership, creativity, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. Luke Jumper AIA, NCARB, LEED-GA President + CEO David Nejelski Vice President + Creative Director Mike Carter Vice President Client Relations Luke Jumper, AIA, NCARB is the CEO, President, and a Principal Owner of TBE Architects. His journey in architecture has been defined by excellence, with contributions to award-winning projects across the U.S. and internationally. Since joining TBE, Luke’s role has evolved from Project Architect to Senior Project Manager, and in 2024, he was named President. In 2025, he assumed the role of CEO, further solidifying his leadership in both design and firm strategy. Luke is known for his exceptional project organization, budget management, schedule oversight, and client communication—skills that make him a trusted leader and a driving force behind successful project outcomes. His ability to balance creative vision with operational precision has earned him the respect of clients, colleagues, and industry peers alike. As CEO, Luke leads the firm with a focus on innovation, collaboration, and cultural sensitivity, particularly in the tribal hospitality sector. He is frequently invited to speak at industry conferences, where he shares insights on architectural trends, project delivery, and the evolving role of design in community development. Outside the office—and in his “spare time” (wink wink)—Luke is currently designing and building his own home in the rural Midwest. This personal project reflects his passion for craftsmanship, sustainability, and the creative process, bringing his professional expertise into a deeply personal endeavor. David Nejelski is the Vice President, Creative Director, and a Principal Owner of TBE Architects, with over 32 years of dedicated service to the firm. His creative fingerprint is woven into every design project, shaping the visual identity and emotional resonance of TBE’s work across the hospitality and gaming industry. Specializing in hotel, casino, and resort design, David is known for crafting captivating spaces that seamlessly blend architecture with art, delivering immersive and unforgettable guest experiences. His passion for designing with meaning is especially evident in his work with Tribal/Indian gaming projects, where he thoughtfully incorporates cultural heritage through stylized and abstract representations. As one of the original visionaries behind TBE’s success, David has played a pivotal role in establishing the firm as a leader in the architectural design of casino and hospitality destinations. His eye for detail, commitment to innovation, and ability to translate cultural narratives into built environments have made him a trusted creative force in the industry. His recent notable projects include the continued renovation and development at the J Resort, the dramatic Garden Court Atrium at We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort, the grand entry experience at Harrah’s Ak-Chin, and the vibrant new Family Entertainment Center at Wildhorse Resort & Casino. David’s influence is not only seen in the firm’s portfolio but felt in its culture—his leadership, artistry, and passion continue to inspire the next generation of designers at TBE Mike Carter (a.k.a. Bow Tie Mike) brings over a decade of experience in marketing and client relations to the architectural design industry. As the first point of contact for many of TBE’s clients and partners, Mike has a natural gift for meeting people where they are—whether at a conference, on a project site, or during a casual conversation. His intuitive sense for connection and ability to build trust quickly have made him an invaluable ambassador for the firm. He’s known for his warm presence, signature bow tie, and a genuine interest in understanding each client’s unique goals and challenges. He also serves on the Advisory Board for Native Nation Events and Indian Gaming magazine, contributing his insights to the broader industry dialogue.
