PROJECT MANAGER - fulltime

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages day-to-day client communication and expectations.
-
Sets and manages design deliverables for consultants and in-house team, including structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers, and subcontracted civil engineers, geotechnical firms and environmental firms engaged in the design, review and producing fully coordinated A/E plans.

Communicates expectations to all parties.

Develops and understands the importance of genuine client relationships.

Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative design solutions.

Administers the design, manages the customer, and interprets building review comments into plans that will achieve the client’s objectives.

Leads client meetings and presentations to explain progress and alternatives.

Tracks time expenditures to manage the profit expectations.

Document all critical decisions in writing.

Motivates design & construction team to work together with efficiency.

Mitigates team conflict and communication problems.
-
Resolves problems of a highly professional and technically difficult nature.

Performs architectural contract administration including coordination with department heads and interfacing with local planning and permitting authorities.

Suggest areas for internal improvement and solutions.

Reports directly to ownership.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, construction science, or architecture. (Engineers or architects given preference)
-
Architectural License is preferred, or a developed path to obtaining a license.

10+ years of design and construction supervision
-
Works well under pressure and able to multitask.
-
The position requires 25% travel for owner/contractor review. (all projects are out of state)
-
Excellent oral, written, and electronic communication skills.

Knowledge of PowerPoint and the Microsoft Office Suite is required.​
