PROJECT MANAGER - fulltime

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manages day-to-day client communication and expectations.

• Sets and manages design deliverables for consultants and in-house team, including structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers, and subcontracted civil engineers, geotechnical firms and environmental firms engaged in the design, review and producing fully coordinated A/E plans.

• Communicates expectations to all parties.

• Develops and understands the importance of genuine client relationships.

• Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative design solutions.

• Administers the design, manages the customer, and interprets building review comments into plans that will achieve the client’s objectives.

• Leads client meetings and presentations to explain progress and alternatives.

• Tracks time expenditures to manage the profit expectations.

• Document all critical decisions in writing.

• Motivates design & construction team to work together with efficiency.

• Mitigates team conflict and communication problems.

• Resolves problems of a highly professional and technically difficult nature.

• Performs architectural contract administration including coordination with department heads and interfacing with local planning and permitting authorities.

• Suggest areas for internal improvement and solutions.

• Reports directly to ownership.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

​

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, construction science, or architecture. (Engineers or architects given preference)

• Architectural License is preferred, or a developed path to obtaining a license.

• 10+ years of design and construction supervision

• Works well under pressure and able to multitask.

• The position requires 25% travel for owner/contractor review. (all projects are out of state)

• Excellent oral, written, and electronic communication skills.

• Knowledge of PowerPoint and the Microsoft Office Suite is required.​
